Our new game, Vegas Flush, will be launching soon – in the first week of May! We can’t wait to share our online casino game with you – created in association with service provider, Microgaming! Our partnership with them has grown from strength-to-strength, resulting in our first game! This week, we’re revealing our fifth and final character, Vegas Flush Badass, Sakira Sic Bo. Want to know all about her? Read below to learn how our final character came to be the strong character she is today!
Who is Sakira Sic Bo?
The newspapers said it was an accident. But everyone knew better. To this day, not a single soul has managed to erase the sound of young Asumi’s screams from their minds, echoing through the streets on that freezing February morning. As neighbours cautiously approached the house, the bright, crimson blood started to percolate the snow lining the steps that led up to the front door. Seconds later, Asumi bolted out, landing straight into the arms of the closest stranger: whimpering, trembling…then howling over and over like a broken and battered hound. Too scared to step inside, the crowd waited for the police to arrive, casting frantic looks at each other as the snowstorm raged on. Eventually, Detective Kisuke arrived. He’d seen a lot of things in his time, but nothing quite so grim as this. Hugging her knees lightly to her chest, a chillingly calm stare on plastered onto her face, 6-year-old Sakira Sic Bo met his openly shocked gaze with a steady, expressionless, blood-spattered one of her own.
Over the following hours, days and months, Kisuke worked tirelessly to piece together what little evidence there was, only to turn up empty-handed. With Asumi in an infant institution and Sakira a registered runaway, Kisuke had no other choice than to let this one go. But he was never really able to. Until his deathbed, he clung onto the hopes that one day, Sakira’s would show up and confess the he’d been right all along, and that she was the one responsible for murdering her parents. That day never came.
Sakira’s Journey to America
Shortly after being taken in by her aunt and uncle, Sakira made a run for it. Arriving in Tokyo harbour, she jumped aboard the first cargo ship heading for San Francisco. The Americans didn’t pay her much attention. Most of them felt sorry for her. One family even offered to take her in. But Sakira bluntly declined in her usual artless manner. Even though she was only 7 years old at the time, she already knew that she was better off alone. And with nobody to stand in her way, the now 25-year old set to work on becoming the most fierce and fearless, underground-casino-playing female in the country. And would you know that bumping into Paolo Poker that night at the Bait ‘n Switch in 2005 was no coincidence? She knew exactly who he was. News travels fast. What’s more, he knew that she knew what he knew. And that’s exactly why she opted into the Vegas Flush crew, signalling her acceptance of the offer with her signature deadpan stare before casually walking out into the into the gang-infested streets to mount her Ducati XDiavel, the smell of burnt rubber lingering long after she left.
Two of Sakira’s Deepest, Darkest Secrets
Now these are things Sakira wouldn’t share with anyone. The basement that she rents? It’s filled with stuffed animals. And her Saturday mornings? She spends them volunteering at a kitten shelter. Don’t. We know what you’re thinking. Bring it up, and we may just end up like her parents. We don’t want that, and we don’t think you do either.
This Isn’t the End, It’s Just the Beginning…
